Legendary techno producer Adam Beyer has officially announced his long-awaited return to the album format with Explorer Vol. 1, his first full-length studio album in over two decades.

Explorer Vol. 1 will include 16 tracks, including high-profile collaborations with Chris Avantgarde, Layton Giordani, Max Styler, and others. According to a press release, the album reflects “permutations of Adam’s headspace and who he is,” drawing influence from his personal passions—including science fiction—across both its sonic and visual direction.
The lead single, “Explorer,” is already out now and delivers a dark, driving techno energy, setting the tone for the rest of the project. With its immersive, forward-thinking sound design, the track hints at a broader narrative Beyer aims to unfold throughout the album.

The announcement comes just ahead of Drumcode’s return to London’s Drumsheds on March 22, where Beyer is set to perform a rare b2b with Brazilian superstar Vintage Culture, alongside other core Drumcode artists. This event, and the new album, build anticipation toward Drumcode’s 30th anniversary in 2026, a milestone celebration for the label Beyer founded in 1996.
