Accusation and Initial Response
According to the accuser, the incident involved being coerced into performing oral sex on Diplo in his hotel room, with the DJ allegedly recording the act without her consent. Diplo’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, swiftly responded to the allegations, labeling them as “meritless.” The gravity of the accusation had immediate repercussions, including the cancellation of Diplo’s performance at Camden Yards by the Baltimore Orioles.
Case Withdrawn
Recently, the accuser retracted her claims, expressing regret over filing the lawsuit. She stated, “No payment was offered or requested. I regret filing the lawsuit.” Freedman was not surprised by the withdrawal, citing “irrefutable evidence” disproving the allegations, which led the plaintiff’s lawyers to withdraw the suit promptly. Despite the lawsuit’s dismissal, Diplo has decided not to pursue charges of malicious prosecution against the accuser.
