Ableton DAW
Ableton is the best sound design software and is used by the biggest music producers in the world. Although plugins can make the tedious process of production simpler, shortcuts are essential for efficiency and a seamless workspace.

Ableton Shortcuts
Deactivate Clips: “0” – this will allow you to deactivate sound without deleting clips
Insert Time: CTRL + I – this will not affect automation, it will simply add space
Resize Tracks: “H” – this will allow you to maximize space
Switch Clip and Device View: Shift + Tab – seamlessly go back and forth from different views
Multiple Windows: Shift + CTRL + W – open a new window in the same project for multiple displays
Slip Editing: Alt + Shift – this allows you to drag clips without affecting other sounds
Solo Track: “S” – listen to a single track
Fold/ Unfold: Alt + U – seamlessly fold or unfold all tracks
Only Play Specific Section: Alt + Space – play highlighted section which will stop without loops
Insert MIDI: Shift + CTRL + C – allows you to play along with your track without recording your MIDI track
