Lawsuit Details

Court documents reveal that Goldstar Staffing is suing Avant Gardner for $300,000 for cleaning and maintenance services during Electric Zoo 2024. Merchandise company The Bright Pursuit seeks over $211,000, while Sunbelt Rentals claims more than $189,000 for tools and equipment. The Laser Light Company states Avant Gardner owes it $130,000 for laser installations, though $45,000 has been paid toward a previous balance. Additionally, 43 service industry professionals claim unpaid wages for services rendered during the event.

Avant Gardner Complaints

Avant Gardner filed a lawsuit against AG Light & Sound, accusing them of inadequate staffing for stage builds, which contributed to the previous year’s issues. However, Avant Gardner withdrew the complaint without explanation. Despite multiple requests, Avant Gardner’s legal team did not respond to comments.

Electric Zoo’s Response

The 2024 edition of Electric Zoo faced significant problems. The first day was cancelled, and on the following days, many ticket holders were turned away due to overcrowding, leading to dangerous riots. One plaintiff reported fearing for his life during these events.

Since the chaotic 2023 event, organizers have made no announcements regarding the festival’s future. Electric Zoo, an annual event since 2009, now faces an uncertain future.
