Recording Academy and MusiCares Pledge $1 Million for LA Wildfire Relief
Supporting Musicians and Industry Professionals Affected by Devastating Fires
The Recording Academy and MusiCares have pledged $1 million to assist musicians and industry professionals impacted by the catastrophic LA wildfires. The fires have destroyed over 38,000 acres, more than 12,300 structures, and claimed at least 11 lives, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.

Wildfire Impact
The music community has been hit especially hard, with venues, recording studios, and equipment among the many losses. To provide relief, MusiCares is offering financial assistance to eligible musicians, producers, event crews, and other industry professionals.

MusiCares has launched a donation page to fund ongoing relief efforts. Resources like emergency shelter locations and transportation vouchers from Uber and Lyft are also available to evacuees.
