How to Use
Using AI Playlist is simple and intuitive. To get started, navigate to the Your Library section in the Spotify app, tap the plus button to create a playlist, and select “AI Playlist.” From there, enter a descriptive prompt, and Spotify’s AI will do the rest, selecting songs across genres, decades, and artists to match your request.
If the playlist isn’t quite right, you can refine it further. You can remove songs with a quick swipe or enhance your prompt with additional instructions like “make it more energetic” or “add recent hits.” This ensures that every playlist you create is uniquely tailored to your preferences and mood.
Spotify has implemented measures to keep the feature safe and enjoyable. Prompts referencing brands, current events, or non-music-related topics are restricted, and offensive suggestions are filtered out. Although the AI Playlist feature is currently limited to users in the UK and Australia, Spotify plans to expand it to other regions soon, making personalized music creation accessible to a broader audience.
