Viral videos circulating on Instagram show what appears to be an incomplete structure at the Mirage’s new site on 140 Stewart Avenue. Drone footage posted on April 21 revealed a skeletal frame, sparking skepticism across the dance music community. “How on earth are they gonna get this done by May 1 for Sara Landry’s show?” questioned popular rave influencer @jiaorgeo.
Avant Gardner’s Response
“The new Mirage will open on May 1,” a spokesperson confirmed to EDM Identity. They emphasized that the project has always relied on prefabricated, modular construction, allowing for rapid assembly. With all materials already onsite, they insist the venue’s rebuild is happening on schedule — with strict adherence to all building, fire, and city codes.
This reopening carries extra weight for Avant Gardner and its newly appointed CEO, Josh Wyatt. Following a turbulent 2023—including the tragic death of an attendee at The Brooklyn Mirage and logistical failures at Electric Zoo—Wyatt pledged sweeping changes to rebuild trust. This year’s relaunch promises upgrades in safety, sound quality, and crowd management.

The new Brooklyn Mirage’s 2025 season kicks off with a Sara Landry double-header on May 1-2, followed by shows from REZZ, Sub Focus, Black Coffee, The Chainsmokers, and more.
