Biography and Career

Diamanté Blackmon, born January 3, 1991, in Washington, D.C., grew up between Guatemala and Maryland. As a teenager, he started DJing local clubs. Under the name Carnage, he began releasing music around 2012, gaining traction with singles like “Incredible” and “Bricks.”

Carnage rose quickly through high-profile sets at Ultra and Tomorrowland. His trap-heavy style helped him stand out during EDM’s global boom. By the late 2010s, he was collaborating with names like Timmy Trumpet, KSHMR, and major hip-hop artists, cementing his role as a crossover act.

During the pandemic, Blackmon retired the Carnage alias and reemerged as GORDO in 2021, focusing on house music with tracks such as “KTM,” “TARAKA,” and “Rizzla.” His 2024 album Diamante featured Drake as executive producer alongside Maluma, T-Pain, and Leon Bridges.
