Goa Cream Festival Forced to Relocate from Yewtree Farm, After Declared a Torture Ritual???
Organizers say the 2025 edition is not canceled as they search for a new venue
The long-running Goa Cream Festival will not return to Yewtree Farm near Thornbury in 2025 after the South Gloucester Council officially denied its license application.

The decision marks the fourth consecutive year the council has blocked the psytrance event from returning to its previous location.

Officials cited objections from local residents, as well as input from Avon and Somerset Police and the council’s environmental health team, as factors in their decision. Strongly worded complaints from locals following 2024 festival described the music as “non-stop heavy bass” and even “a form of torture,” according to the BBC.
Goa Cream’s Official Statement
Despite the setback, Goa Cream organizer Piers Cappara made it clear the festival will still happen in 2025—just not at Yewtree Farm.
“Hi friends, Goa Cream is NOT cancelled!!” he shared in a Facebook post. “South Gloucester Council have objected to our licence application… All this means is, we are now looking for another venue for this September’s party.”
Goa Cream, a beloved psytrance festival in the UK has served as a fundraiser for Bristol Suicide Prevention and Sharpness. Its fanbase includes older ravers and families, many of whom have attended since the festival’s early years.
Organizers are actively scouting new locations for the 2025 edition and plan to share updates in the coming weeks.
